A. STRATEGI KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL DALAM PENGEMBANGAN SDM PENDIDIKAN: STUDI KASUS DI MI AL-MUHAJIRIEN JAKAPERMAI

Abstract

The quality of educational human resources is a main pillar in determining the quality of educational output and institutional competitiveness in the era of disruption. However, the reality shows that the quality of teachers in Indonesia is still relatively low compared to other developing countries, necessitating a strong leadership commitment to carry out transformation. This research aims to systematically document and analyze the transformational leadership strategies of the Principal of MI Al-Muhajirien Jakapermai in developing educational human resources to improve the quality of the educational unit. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interview, and document study techniques, which were then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and data validation models according to Miles and Huberman's theory. The research findings show that the transformational leadership strategy is implemented through four main pillars: (1) Idealized Influence through exemplary discipline; (2) Inspirational Motivation through a religious approach and a strong vision; (3) Intellectual Stimulation through cutting-edge technology training (AI, coding, English); and (4) Individualized Consideration through a personal approach and specific solutions for teacher work obstacles. The implemented human resource development strategies include both formal and informal channels. The consistent application of transformational leadership has been proven to successfully improve discipline, mastery of digital technology, and the quality of educational services, thereby making MI Al-Muhajirien Jakapermai a pilot madrasah with a positive image in society.
