Abstract

Scientific knowledge plays a fundamental role in the development of human civilization. However, understanding science cannot be limited to technical and empirical aspects alone; it must also be examined philosophically. This article extensively examines the nature of scienctific knowledge and its implications within the philosophy of science. The discussion focuses on three core dimensions, ontology, epistemology, and axiology and analyzes how they collectively construct foundations of scientific knowledge. Using a comprehensive literature review method, the study synthesizes classical and contemporary philosophical perspectives. The results reveal that scientific knowledge is not merely the pursuit of truth but also inherently connected to moral and social obligations embedded in scientific activities.
